Senior .NET Developer*

Greenfinch Technology has an opening for an experience software engineer to join our .Net team in Dublin. This is a hands-on role for an intelligent developer with experience of the .NET framework and related technologies. You will be working with a team of engineers and testers, delivering web & mobile applications to our customers across a variety of industry verticals.

Desired Experience

Must haves:
  • At least 5 years’ (combined) practical exposure to .NET using C#
  • Excellent written and verbal English language skills
  • Working knowledge of at least one ORM framework
  • Excellent knowledge of SQL Server to include database schema design, query design and optimisation and performance tuning
  • Professional exposure to agile development methodologies, preferably Scrum, to include experience of practices such as TDD and unit testing
  • Working knowledge of CI/CD
  • Knowledge and understanding of software engineering best practices, including object-oriented design and software design patterns
  • Good academic qualification in a STEM discipline or equivalent practical experience

Nice to haves:
  • RESTful service design against the HAL specification
  • Working knowledge of client-side libraries such as Angular, Bootstrap and jQuery
  • Solid UI / UX design skills, Photoshop a bonus
  • Windows Azure or another major cloud platform provider
  • Web Services (SOAP, XML Web Services, WSDL)
  • Microsoft Certification
  • • Dev-ops topics and technology such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Docker, Octopus Deploy
  • Mobile technologies such as Xamarin, iOS, Android
  • Experience in SaMD or IOT
  • Microsoft certification is an advantage - App Builder or Azure certification.

Location & Hours

This a full-time role, based at our offices in Westland Row, Dublin 2, Ireland. We’re right beside the Pearse Street Dart station and close to several city centre bus stops.

We typically work 09:00 – 17.30 but it varies by person.
